Because you will not be able to stop laughing.Emma's family are dedicated to the idea of a yearly holiday- the only problem is that every holiday ends in disaster that could only be called "hilarious in hindsight".The tent was canvas so it bellied out in a storm and got heavy in rain, Emma herself- a child attracted to anything toilet related (there's a cautionary tale about negotiating a French public toilet in the dark) and the pink plastic bucket that despite its cheerful colouring had a foul and smelly revenge on those who used it.And yes, Emma says all these things that happened are true. As AIOTM (AIOTM) fans will know, Tony believes he is the hero of the book. If you see him, he will sign your copy (or your Kindle). Brenda, I think deserves a medal for patience in the face of overwhelming despair.If you get a chance to meet Emma, make sure you treat her to coffee and a nice snack but never baked beans, gherkins, Spam or corned beef.
